Children are involved in every aspect of our showcase, from planning sets to costume choices. This collaborative teaching style allows each child to have a voice! This is a class that focuses on social skills, creativity, healthy habits and achieving goals, all while learning the latest Hip Hop moves. Our talented and diverse Hip Hop faculty specializes in many different styles of Hip Hop. -

It brings a digital object into its physical form by adding layer by layer of materials. In this class, we will use various design platforms to create digital models that we can then print using a 3D printer. Following a design process, students will imagine, plan, and create 3D models out of plastic filament. Students will work in small groups and individually to create a Diorama of their choice to show off their creations. -

They will explore the scientific world through exciting experiments. These budding scientists will watch and wonder as they observe chemical reactions. They will be introduced to life science in the Eco-Center. Students will be shown how to use scientific methods to answer their questions. -

Dates coming soon! Little Wilderness School brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way. Our program will teach children about some of the dangers in the wild and how to safely handle a medical situation. Our Future Emergency Medics will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, how to tie a tourniquet, splint a broken leg, filter dirty water, 20 uses of a bandana, how to treat bug bites, and so much more! Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School instructor. -

Grades 2nd - 5th Fall 2022 Thursdays Sept. 15, 22, 29 Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 Nov. 10, 17 Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22 Jan. 5, 12, 19, 26 This club is for the serious artist. Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting in order to help them develop their individual styles and artistic skills. Our young artist will work at their own pace and will be taught individually; taking into account their personal interest, skills and needs. This class starts out with each child showcasing their already developed artistic skills. This will help our instructors to assess the individual levels. All students will be encouraged to draw freestyle. Eye training will be stressed throughout this program. Students will be taught the rules and techniques of fine art. They will be encouraged to explore the world of art pastels, water color and advance to acrylic and more. These young artists will learn about some of the famous artist as they create their own master pieces. -

Mondays - $785.00 Grades K - 2 Fall 2022 Dates: Sept. 12, 19 Oct. 3, 17, 24, 31 Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 Dec. 5, 12, 19 Jan. 9, 23Lights, Camera, Action! Learn how to Make and/or Act in a film this Fall. Aurora Skills is offering K-2 film-acting class after-school club. The class is open to those who are interested in learning how to act in front of the camera versus the stage. Students will learn story-telling, character development, screen writing, making backdrops (Art), staging, props, lighting and more. Students will work together in teams to write, act, shoot and edit their own short films. Every student is invited to participate in all aspects or just the areas that interest them. At the end of the term, teams will have at least one film that they have made, put on a DVD. Professional equipment, cameras, audio and editing software is provided. This is a great way to start acting reels for aspiring actors and production reels for aspiring filmmakers. The skills students will learn will benefit them in all the facets of their lives, from school applications, class projects, to learning viral marketing and beyond! -

Grades 3rd - 5th Fall 2022 – Mondays Sept. 12, 19 Oct. 3, 17, 24, 31 Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 Dec. 5, 12, 19 Jan. 9, 23See your children grow and shine through an introductory robotics and coding course from LEGO. Students will take their background knowledge of STEM and put it into practice as they work in teams to design and build robots using Lego robotics kits. They will use their STEM skills combined with critical thinking to work as a team to build robots and compete in exciting, mission-based games. Along with building, children will also practice their coding skills as they program their robots to accomplish practical goals. Students will apply themselves in engaging activities and missions while gaining productive learning habits, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.
