Through a series of project-based activities, students design, construct, and program several interactive and autonomous robots using LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime. Students will program their robots to move, spin, pick up objects, and more. They will be introduced to sensors that will allow their robots to respond to stimuli such as colors or obstacles. As a culminating event, students may participate in tournaments and games, such as navigating a maze. Does your child love to experiment and ask questions about the world around them? If so, it sounds like you already have a little scientist on your hands! Snapology’s Scientists program helps children explore their curiosities and cultivate a deep love for science by experiencing the different domains of scientific study. Students will engage with concepts from the fields of astronomy, earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools. Science Topics From atoms and molecules to ecosystems and constellations, your child will be exposed to a wide variety of science concepts in Snapology’s Scientists program. They will discuss these topics with their classmates and a trained Snapologist in order to use those complex concepts to build concrete examples that show their knowledge while providing plenty of space for creativity. You will be amazed at the knowledge your child gains through our hands-on, student-focused activities!
Presentation Skills Many school-age students struggle when it comes to their presentation skills in the classroom. Snapology will help your child feel more comfortable presenting in front of a class by having the child explain their unique creations to their peers in an inviting low-stakes way. Presenting their creations will help their confidence in front of a group of people and will translate into their everyday self-assurance in the classroom. Teamwork/Partner Skills Small groups and peer partners are key components of Snapology’s classroom approach. Foundational Engineering: Machines & Contraptions

This program gives your student the tools they need to understand mechanical movement and the importance of simple machines. They will see these moving parts up-close as they follow instructions to build various machines and contraptions, then use the models to develop new design ideas, test out physics concepts, and even play games with their partners and classmates. Whether they are the creative-constructive type or prefer the inquisitive-deconstructive way of learning, this program is sure to spark their engineering interests! What the Students Will Learn
Simple Machines, Complex Machines, and Physics By following our building instructions and examining the models that are made, your child will learn how to design simple and complex machines and use things like gears, pulleys, wheels & axles, lever, and cranks to build their own models. They will learn how different configurations of these parts can create unique movement guided by laws of physics and will be encouraged to experiment with their builds to create new design possibilities.

Animation Studio
Who doesn’t love an action-packed animation movie that brings our favorite toys to life? In Snapology’s Animation Studio program, students get to do more than just enjoy those movies, they get to create them! In this technical program, children will work in teams to learn the fundamentals of stop motion animation and develop their own animated movie starring some of their favorite LEGO® mini-figures! Students will go through the entire movie making process with their filming partner, from plot development and set design to detailed visual and audio editing. The best part, their movie will move beyond the classroom and be uploaded to Snapology’s YouTube channel so they can share their film with friends and family for years to come! What the Students Will Learn
Technology Skills Snapology’s Animation Studio program provides a structured, supportive environment for students to utilize unique stop animation software through which they can practice general technology skills. They will learn how to create, delete, modify, edit, design, add sound to, and upload their creations and practice with precision when doing so. In doing this, they will practice maneuvering through menu options and finding appropriate destinations for their creative needs.
