Similar to learning another language, early exposure can help a child pick it up with confidence and ease With coding, the earlier children learn coding fundamentals - they can apply it to any programming language they study over time.This class provides a fun and engaging way for young children to learn and apply key coding concepts. During the class, they will program their own interactive games, stories, and animation. Grades 2nd - 5th Spring 2023 – Mondays 2:30pm - 5:00pm Jan. 30 Feb. 6, 13, 27 Mar. 6, 13, 20, 27 Apr. 3, 17, 24 May. 1, 8, 15, 22 June. 5, 12Students will learn the basics of photography and complete some great photography projects. They will learn the technique for taking natural portraits in their own home. Students will explore how to plan, scout, shoot, and edit great candid photos. They will become skilled at finding interesting backgrounds both inside and out using natural light. Our photographers in training will travel the school and surroundings to find photography opportunities. Their work will be seen on our website and Instagram page. They will learn about famous photographers and will view their work and accomplishments. Each student will be about to create their own portfolio by the end of the class. All equipment's and devices will be supplied. -

Grades 3rd - 5th Fall 2022 – Mondays Sept. 12, 19 Oct. 3, 17, 24, 31 Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 Dec. 5, 12, 19 Jan. 9, 23See your children grow and shine through an introductory robotics and coding course from LEGO. Students will take their background knowledge of STEM and put it into practice as they work in teams to design and build robots using Lego robotics kits. They will use their STEM skills combined with critical thinking to work as a team to build robots and compete in exciting, mission-based games. Along with building, children will also practice their coding skills as they program their robots to accomplish practical goals. Students will apply themselves in engaging activities and missions while gaining productive learning habits, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.
