  • Grades 3-5
Required for this class: Windows desktop or laptop, Chromebook or Tablet Course Description: This class provides a powerful learning tool for budding programmers– using an advanced block coding format, Scratch teaches fundamental programming concepts also used in more complex languages such as Java and Python.
Young students will learn these critical concepts by creating animations and computer games with interacting characters. Students will apply problem-solving skills to debug programs, make customizations and bring their imaginations to life!
  • 3D printing is a process for making a physical object from a three-dimensional digital model by laying down many successive thin layers of material. It brings a digital object into its physical form by adding layer by layer of materials. In this class, we will use the design program ‘Tinkercad’ to create digital models that we can then print using a 3D printer. Following a design process, students will imagine, plan, and create 3D models out of plastic filament.
