These Hip Hop classes are fun and exciting. Children are involved in every aspect of our showcase, from planning sets to costume choices. This collaborative teaching style allows each child to have a voice! This is a class that focuses on social skills, creativity, healthy habits and achieving goals, all while learning the latest Hip Hop moves. Our talented and diverse Hip Hop faculty specializes in many different styles of Hip Hop.

Coding Fundamentals with Scratch, Python, and more

This course introduces students to coding concepts such as events, loops, variables, and more. Perfect for students with moderate to very little or no coding experience. With fun, project-based activities, students will have the world of coding demystified. The instructors leverage the coding platform Scratch, before introducing students to the Python programming language. Engaging tools (such as robots) are used to mix up the mediums from which the students learn, and educational, unplugged activities are incorporated to keep things fun. By the end of the course, students will have built a foundation in Coding.

LEGO - Robotics

See your children grow and shine through an introductory robotics and coding course from LEGO. Students will take their background knowledge of STEM and put it into practice as they work in teams to design and build robots using Lego robotics kits. They will use their STEM skills combined with critical thinking to work as a team to build robots and compete in exciting, mission-based games. Along with building, children will also practice their coding skills as they program their robots to accomplish practical goals. Students will apply themselves in engaging activities and missions while gaining productive learning habits, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way.

This class will focus specifically on performance techniques. Students will learn how to be present and work on intention and storytelling as well as improv, ensemble acting and scripted acting. Children will also receive vocal lessons in this class which will focus on vocal strength, flexibly and styles. The children will act out several short stories and plays each week as they hone their craft and bill on strengths.

Students will role-play the key staff functions performed at a veterinary office and how to keep their “adopted” plush puppy healthy. These future veterinarians will explore digestion, the different parts of the canine eye, animal body language and how X-rays are used to diagnose and treat common illnesses and so much more.
All programs are written by experienced educators, board-certified physicians and trained healthcare professionals. Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School® Instructor.

The children will also explore crafts like clay, jewelry making, sewing and more.

LEGO Engineering Discovery is a playful introductory engineering and building program for children that ignites their natural curiosity and builds their habits of learning. Essential skills such as engineering, cooperation, and problem-solving are exercised through the use of age-appropriate Lego kits. By the end of the program, children emerge more confident, better equipped to face future challenges, and further acquainted with the fun of hands-on learning. Students will be tasked with solving exciting challenges together that are based on real- world themes.

Through a mixture of unplugged games/activities and software-based educational tools, students will learn about core coding principles such as conditionals, control flow, events, loops, and more. Instructors use concepts that children are familiar with to get across the fundamentals of this seemingly complex material. Students will progress from unplugged workshops to building their first block/symbol-based programs. Students will have fun while building a skill that will open doors for them for the rest of their lives!

Little Wilderness School brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way. Our program will teach children about some of the dangers in the wild and how to safely handle a medical situation. Our Future Emergency Medics will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, how to tie a tourniquet, splint a broken leg, filter dirty water, 20 uses of a bandana, how to treat bug bites, and so much more! Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School instructor.

We are proud to introduce our new Eco-Center class. This forward-thinking class will give students a real-world, hands-on experience to sustainability leadership. Our unique Eco- Center environment offers us opportunities to garden together, do nature journaling, eco-projects for the school, learn about alternative energy, engage with and care for our animals, do natural art and more, all while learning about living sustainably. Some topics that will be covered: Gardening, Compost, Recycling work, Eco/Recycling projects, Nature Journaling, hydroponics…

This course introduces students to coding concepts, the fundamentals of video game design, and digital worldbuilding. Through project based instruction using the Scratch coding language, students will learn about events, loops, variables, and other core coding concepts. In addition to using Scratch to build games, they will also use the Bloxels, Minecraft EDU, and Roblox Studio platforms. These tools will help students gain an understanding of 3D environments and how to build robust games that include heroes, enemies, levels, power-ups, hazards, and more. Most importantly, students will have fun while building foundations in complex topics!

Do you want to get together with other learners and play board games? Have you been curious about some board games and wanted to try new ones? This is a fun and relaxing class filled with thinking and strategy-based games. Our learners will team up in groups and push each other to think and embrace challenges. Students will also play against the instructors with old classic and new board games. GAME ON!

This course introduces students to building and design principles in Minecraft Education Edition. Students will grow their design skills through exciting activities like building sculpture gardens and creating a campsite. Then we will dive into building virtual worlds both individually and as a group, and will tap into students’ creativity to ultimately design a town together. The oldest students will learn how to use Minecraft’s block-based programming language. Students will embark on missions and will learn coding skills such as conditionals, variables, and more!
